And the crowd began pleading with Jesus to go away and leave them alone. (NLT) -Mark 5:17
As a result of Jesus healing a man, some livestock was lost. The nearby town refused entry to Jesus, fearful they would lose more income and security. Wouldn’t it be tragic to be a resident in the town that has too much to lose, refuses to help you, and turns Jesus away?

Your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones, turn into something beautiful
You loved me cause I was fragile when I thought I was strong

The Lord told Gideon, “With these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home.” (NLT) -Judges 7:7
Why would God lead Gideon into battle with an army of only 300 men against an army of 135,000 Midianites? Gideon placed his trust in the Lord even against overwhelming odds. When you feel that the odds are against your favor and the Lord is leading you into battle, remember Gideon. He went on to victory because he dutifully followed the Lord. When you feel the odds are stacked against you, could God be using you to demonstrate His strength?
